First Christmas without your ex; first Valentine's Day etc...I must confess missing my plural relationship is not a daily thing..it had just gotten too hard. One thing I've noticed though is that it must have really filled up my life because I have too many days with not much to do.
I am glad to see NTPW posting again and Older and Weiser having some well deserved success. It seems many of the blogs I follow are pretty inactive these days. Border Collie, a very loyal blog reader, has lost her beloved husband and I'm sure is going through the healing process. I noticed in one of her comments on another blog she mentions that it's strange that internet friends can mean so much. It's not really strange. These internet friendships come in many shapes, sizes, colors and types and have one thing in common ...well mostly...there is no need for pretense. I also find them refreshing and wonderful and miss many of those folks I have connected with over the years.
Living alone, sadness, poor real life relationships - all are reasons that internet friends are a positive in our lives. There have been times in my past when they were almost all I had. Anyone who doesn't understand this, I don't know how to explain it.
This winter has been so much worse than the last one. Lots and lots of snow and a real honest to goodness blizzard. My doctor thinks I may have that winter blues syndrome - I forget what it's called. I think he may be on to something. I can't wait for summer.

Oh wait, looks like there is no "ID the numbers and letters" on so will try an answer here. I've had workers here every day fixing toilets, roof, everything and they are still not done. Girlfriend coming today for a few days. Don't know what we will do.
I witnessed Ron's cremation last week. I was nervous beforehand but it was ok on the day. Now he is on coffee table, awaiting a future shopping trip to find a nice redwood box, I think. His former caretaker comes by and says Hi Ron, do you take your medicine Ron, to him so it's like he is really here again.
I saw your post on NTPF and I too am into politics, told Ron when he retired I was off to DC or Sacramento. Circumstances dictated Sacramento. I think I am at opposite ends of the political spectrum from you and NTPF but at least I have these opinions backed up by data and worked with all opposite opinions people for years and count them my friends. My newest goal is to be the city hall gadfly. My current city is full of filipinos and you can believe it is run to benefit themselves and their own families exclusively. It's a bastion to storm.
Florida has been the best medicine for Bud and me--we both get Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) pretty bad in the winter time up north. So much sunshine down here, I can honestly say I have not suffered a lick this year. I find myself smiling at the sunshine. :)
I count you as a sister, even though we have never met. I think internet friends are oft times more supportive and understanding, more forthright and candid, and more insightful and thought-provoking than some so-called friends.
If you ever want to visit...we have an open-door policy. Only have a hide-a-bed for guests now, but the weather is fine!
I have missed you both BC and D. Still trying to figure out if going to start another blog or just stay here or both LOL. Maybe both.
BC..So sad for you. But you sound well:)
D- My new primary care doctor swears I have that seasonal thing too. I have always hated winter perhaps that's why. I think I just have a fairly well managed clinical depression that gets worse in the winter :)
D if you could give me your email address I would appreciate it. thanks.
